Fall Wish List

fall clothes - SamuraijohnnyWhether it’s a great pair of boots or new chunky sweaters – there are a few things that are necessary for getting ready for the colder months.  Here are my top picks!

A go-with-everything blazerNY&Co. Red Label just came out with an awesome slouchy boyfriend blazer that I am obsessed with.  It is so comfortable and gray is the color I will be purchasing.  Pair it with slacks for work with a brightly colored blouse underneath and change into jeans and cute heels to go out after!

Comfy sunshine colored jacket:  The Steve Madden Toggle Coat is a cute and versatile coat that embraces the yellow trend we have seen for the fall.  And stress not hood lovers (or haters!) - the hood’s detachable!

Stylish Flat Boots:  For some reason I have a slight obsession with Aldo Shoes.  The Balduf is funky and sleek all in one.  And the Bordeaux shade (which looks a lot richer in person) seems to be such a fun addition to any one who has a neutral filled wardrobe (like me!).

A statement necklace – or scarf:  Whether you want to brighten up your neckline with an awesome chunky necklace or a bright scarf, either will add a splash of color to your daily outfit!

An awesome basic pencil skirtThe Gap Sailor Pencil Skirt is a must have for me because it can be dressed up with a button down for work and pumps, and be jazzed up with a loose fitting sparkly tank for night.

Eyeshadow as Liner? Yes, Please!

Makeup gurus everywhere have been using this trick forever – eyeshadow as eyeliner.  I have been getting really frustrated at night because removing ALL of my eyeliner is the longest process of my getting-ready-to-hit-the-sack routine.  I found that Pond’s Towelettes are best and they don’t burn your eyes - but it is becoming a chore.  This is why I tried eyeshadow as liner yesterday for work.  And I must admit – I loved it!  Taking it off last night was a breeze!

Have any of you gals tried this?  Comment and let me know your success…
